1. About us and what you can find on this website
This website is operated by FOLK S.r.l., in formation (hereinafter "FOLK", "we", "us"), reachable at hello@folktrips.com.
The trips featured on this website are organised and sold by Carousel S.r.l., Viale della Vittoria 69, 60123 Ancona (AN), VAT number 00865350425, a licensed travel agency, as described in Article 3.
The company is currently in the process of incorporation. Once registration with the Business Register is complete, this page will be updated with the registered office, VAT number, and final contact details. This update will not affect your rights.
FOLK handles the design of the travel experiences and the relationships with the host communities. On this website, you will find descriptions of the trips, the destinations, and the people we work with, as well as a form to let us know which trip you are interested in.
This website does not sell trips and does not collect payments. Through the website, you can send us an information or booking request. The sale of the tourist package, the conclusion of the travel contract, and the payment are processed by Carousel S.r.l., as described in Article 3.
2. Acceptance of terms
By browsing this website and using the contact form, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
3. Role of FOLK and role of Carousel S.r.l.
FOLK is responsible for designing the experiences, managing relationships with local communities and partners, and promoting trips through the content on this website. The activities of organising, selling, and brokering tourist packages are reserved by law to licensed travel agencies: for the trips featured on this website, this activity is carried out by Carousel S.r.l., which adopts the itineraries as its own package holidays, assumes the role of organiser pursuant to Legislative Decree 62/2018, and independently manages the entire contract and payment process. Requests received through the website are forwarded to Carousel S.r.l. for this purpose.
Technical organisation: Carousel S.r.l., Viale della Vittoria 69, 60123 Ancona (AN), VAT number 00865350425.
In practice:
When you submit a request through the website, FOLK may contact you to provide information about the experience and the destinations. Any communication of a contractual nature (quote, confirmation, terms of sale, payment) comes from Carousel S.r.l.
If you decide to participate, the travel package sale contract is concluded exclusively between you and Carousel S.r.l., under Carousel S.r.l.’s general terms of sale, which you can find at the bottom of this page (Article 14). Before concluding the contract, you will receive the pre-contractual information required by Legislative Decree 62/2018, including the standard information form, from Carousel S.r.l.
Payment is made exclusively through Carousel S.r.l.’s payment channels. FOLK does not receive, hold, or manage any money from travellers.
For everything concerning the travel contract (confirmation, changes, withdrawal, cancellations, refunds, assistance during the trip, complaint management, organiser liability), your contractual counterparty is Carousel S.r.l., in accordance with its general terms and applicable regulations.
We invite you to read Carousel S.r.l.’s general terms of sale, set out in Article 14, carefully before completing your purchase.
4. Informational content of the website
Itineraries, dates, prices, and availability published on this website are for informational and promotional purposes and do not constitute an offer to the public pursuant to Art. 1336 of the Italian Civil Code. Binding prices and conditions are exclusively those confirmed by Carousel S.r.l. in the pre-contractual information and the travel contract.
We are committed to keeping content updated and accurate, but we do not guarantee the absence of errors or inaccuracies. If you notice an inconsistency, please write to us at hello@folktrips.com.
5. Contact form
The contact form is used to send us a request regarding a trip. By submitting the form, you declare that the data provided is truthful and relates to you. The processing of personal data collected through the form is described in our Privacy Policy.
Submitting the form does not imply any purchase obligation on your part, nor any obligation to confirm availability on our part or on the part of Carousel S.r.l. No contractual travel relationship arises solely from submitting the form.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, photographs, illustrations, videos, FOLK logos, trademarks and distinctive signs, the swallow symbol, graphic structure, and website architecture) is the property of FOLK or used under licence, and is protected by copyright law (L. 633/1941) and industrial property regulations.
You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, systematically extract, distribute, or use the content for commercial purposes without written authorisation. Sharing content on social media channels with attribution to FOLK is permitted.
7. Proper use of the website
You agree not to use the website for unlawful purposes, not to send offensive, false, or third-party content without their consent through the form, not to carry out scraping or automated data collection, and not to compromise the technical operation of the website.
8. Links to third-party sites
The website may contain links to third-party sites, including the website and payment channels of Carousel S.r.l. These sites are governed by their respective terms of use and privacy policies. FOLK exercises no control over them and is not responsible for their content or the data processing carried out there.
9. Limitation of liability
The website is provided "as is". Within the limits permitted by law, FOLK is not liable for damages resulting from the use of the website, technical interruptions or malfunctions, or errors in the informational content, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits FOLK's liability where it cannot be excluded or limited by law.
For clarity: liability relating to the organisation and performance of the travel packages is regulated by the travel contract concluded with Carousel S.r.l. and by Legislative Decree 62/2018.

We may update these Terms and Conditions, for example, upon completion of the company's incorporation or in the event of changes to the website. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the last updated date indicated at the top. Amendments do not have retroactive effect.
11. Severability clause
